Here’s some cool information and fun facts about Baldwin Park, California. Originally grazing land for cattle, Baldwin Park belonged to the San Gabriel Mission. In 1860 it was known as Vineland and then changed the name to Baldwin Park in 1906. In 1882 the first school house was built with a heating stove and two rows of seats. Six years later the school district was established. The community grew and business and residential development followed.
