Boca Raton is part of the Miami metroplex, located to the north of Pompano Beach but south of Delray Beach. Boca’s most notable quality is that of a tourist destination for people coming from all around America, and even from outside of the country. This is thanks to its weather, beaches, and green spaces.
One of the most famous attractions in Boca is Red Reef Park, though South Inlet Park and Spanish River Park both rival it, as they are all positioned on the coast. Golf fans will enjoy their stay at the Royal Palm Yacht & Country Club, and within the city, you’ll find the Boca Raton Museum of Art.

Population
Boca Raton was largely uninhabited by European settlers until 1895 when Captain Thomas Moore Rickards built himself a house in the area. Boca, in its modern incarnation, was the brainchild of Addison Mizner, who set out to create America’s greatest resort town in 1925.
While his company went bankrupt in 1927, Mizner’s idea was eventually realized by the 21st century.

Here’s what we’ve managed to learn about Boca Raton’s demographics from the city’s page on the US Census Bureau’s website:

- 4% African American
- 3% Asian
- 0.1% Native American
Boca Raton is inhabited by 99,000 people, and the city has grown more than nearly anywhere else in Florida since its last census, with its population rising by 18%.
