Located between Salem and Boston, Lynn makes up part of Boston’s metro area and acts as a key suburb for the city. Unlike many of the highly developed areas surrounding it, Lynn is largely suburban and it has a lot more green than many of Boston’s other suburbs.
Lynn is also home to three beaches, as well as Lynn Woods and the Gannon Municipal Golf Course. Some of the better-known parks in the suburb itself include High Rock Tower Park and Lynn Heritage State Park. Lynn is also home to many businesses, each looking to carve out a place for themselves.

Population
Lynn was first settled in 1629, and from a young age, the city was known as the City of Sin. This was due to the city’s “work hard, play hard” reputation, as one of America’s earliest cities devoted to industry.
Lynn eventually shook off this moniker, and in the present day, the city is home to plenty of historic and cultural spaces.
